Eye of the Black Prince adds a prismatic socket to any Sha-Touched weapon.

In Patch 5.2, an Eye can be attached to any weapon that drops from the Throne of Thunder, in addition to the previous nine sha-touched weapons.

This item can be purchased from Commander Oxheart in Townlong Steppes and Blacktalon Quartermaster at the Veiled Stair for 2500 by players who have completed the following quests:

•  [90] Call of the Packmaster
•  [90] The Soul of the Horde

Before patch 6.0.2 this was also a reward from the above quests, but they have since been removed.

Notes

• It is possible for characters that have dual wield to use the eye on both of the sha-touched equipped weapons.
• This socket can NOT be applied to weapons introduced in the Siege of Orgrimmar.

Patch changes

• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): No longer a quest reward.
  
• Patch 5.3.0 (2013-05-21): Can now be used to apply a prismatic socket on Reborn weapons.
  
• Hotfix (2013-01-08): Commander Oxheart in Townlong Steppes will now sell Crystallized Dread, Crystallized Terror, Crystallized Horror, and Eye of the Black Prince for gold to players that have completed the appropriate quest lines.
  
• Patch 5.1.0 (2012-11-27): Added.
