She was named after a 28 year old player named Dak Krause who died of leukemia on August 22, 2007 (born March 10, 1979).
The NPC model itself is an exact replica of "Caylee", Mr. Krause's character, bearing the same model and gear, as well as the same pet, Dusky, by his side.
