Freya is one of the watchers. She resided in the Temple of Life in the Storm Peaks until Loken rebelled against the other watchers. She has since then been corrupted by Yogg-Saron and is laying dormant inside the greenery of Ulduar.[1] Freya left behind her avatar in Sholazar Basin to protect it from the Scourge as a fail safe if she were to be unavailable to the land.

Ulduar

Freya in Ulduar.

Freya appears in World of Warcraft as an encounter in Ulduar. Once defeated, she will assist players during the Yogg-Saron encounter if summoned for assistance. During the battle against the Old God, Freya stands vigilantly in the corner of the prison inside an unreachable pillar. From there, she increases the potency of the heroes' healing and provides sanity restoration wells.

  • Spell nature healingway.png  Resilience of Nature — Increases healing received from all sources by 20%.
  • Spell shaman spiritlink.png  Sanity Well — Freya conjures Sanity Wells (green pillars of light) at the sides of the room, which regenerate Sanity for players standing in them (this is the only method to regain sanity).

Trivia

  • Freya's name is derived from the Norse goddess Freyja (also sometimes called Freja, Freya).
  • She is voiced by Jessica Straus.
