Oh, sorry, but I can add it in the article, right?
EDIT: I think his occupation can be changed to "Leader of the Crypt Lords and fiends" or "Leader of the undead Nerubian". What do you think?Dakovski 16:29, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
I changed it.--SWM2448 16:43, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Anub'arak in Wrath of the Lich King[]

Is anyone else disappointed that one of the most important Scourge characters, and one of the most powerful heroes from Warcraft III, is going to be a level 73 five-man dungeon boss? Egrem (talk) 00:57, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

I am not sure why it matters here as this is not a forum, but I thought he would at least have the 'Spiked Carapace' to make him more unique.--SWM2448 01:06, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough. Here is a video of the fight if anyone wants to see him: http://www.warcraftmovies.com/download.php?id=84309&mirror=3 Egrem (talk) 18:40, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Lol I think its pretty funny(of course sad at the same time) Anub'rekan is better than him... Blizz in my opinion definately screwed this one up.Krasusinwow (talk) 02:05, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
A lot of people agree with that, I think that he should have survived somehow to make another apperance in Icecrown or somewhere along with Kel'thuzad. It would have madee a few people a lot happier for sure. --"The Scourge shall prevail!" - Scourge-Lord Morec (talk) 17:43, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Loyal to the Lich King?[]

He is very friendly to Arthas but when you kill him he says he is free. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TichondriusLives (talk · contr).

As is told in the last section of the article, he is just an unwillingly slave, just like most minions of the scourge. He is friendly yes, but in Warcraft most mind-controlled guys retain their memories or personalities (like Grom when was controlled by Mannoroth, like Arthas or many other). Also please sing you posts with four ~ Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 18:59, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
From the relevant data, I suspect that Anub'arak didn't actually betray the nerubians. I suspect that, while the nerubians held the advantage during the War of the Spider, the Scourge did manage to kill and raise several lower nerubians. The Lich King moved them close to Anub'arak, and had them isolate him from the rest of Azjol-Nerub. He was then killed, raised, and sent back into the nerubian kingdom, where he made the claim that he willingly sided with the Scourge. With this statement from their king, and after witnessing the power the Lich King had bestowed upon him, many of the nerubians sided with the Lich King. The survivors then came to view Anub'arak as the traitor that delivered them to the Scourge.--ToaCodyNuva (talk) 01:02, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
Whaaaa, I'd really like to know what are your "relevant data". (nice fan fic)
War of the Spider was lost because the nerubians released the Faceless and got caught up on two fronts.

Return in Trial of the Crusader/Grand Crusader?[]

According to MMO-Champion (http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=72361.0) there is an achievement called "The Traitor King" in the current PTR, and it has something to do with the 10/25 man raids in the Argent Coliseum. Could it be, possibly, that Anub'arak's end in Azjol-Nerub is...not so permanent? (This would go along with Kel'Thuzad, Kael'thas and Baron Rivendare as "bosses who never die", heh.) I thought I also saw the image of what looked like a crypt lord, and from what I've seen, there is no crypt lord in either the 5-man or the raids... --Joshmaul (talk) 02:22, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

While datamining has confirmed that he's almost certainly the final boss of the raid instance, the fact that there's no legitimately obtained evidence means we can't put it in the article. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 03:13, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
