From weak priest to stocky paladin[]

Rofl she was a weak cloth-wearing priestess and she suddenly becomes a strong asskicking paladin ... Is it said anywhere how many muscular training hours she had?--K ) (talk) 19:13, 29 September 2006 (EDT)

Indeed in the same fashion the Silver Hand converted priests to paladins during the second war ;-) ElfElunaAlina 19:13, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

She probably uses holy magic to augument her physical prowess, also note that a blood elf preist is just as musculer as a bloof elf pally, altohugh thats just a game-play mechanic. Hordesupporter 00:35, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

Yes, a weak cloth-wearing priest suddenly became a strong asskicking paladin... Who are you talking about? Liadrin or Uther? --N'Nanz 12:30, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Hem, true that. But Uther was only 20 at the time when he changed his way, he was a man, a human and, more than that, he created the Paladin order, which means he was bound to become one (he had in mind everything that was required to be one and had only chosen priesthood because he was interested in the Light (there wasn't any other way to study it). Otherwise, he would have been a warrior like everyone else. Liadrin is a woman, which doesn't mean that she's weaker but that she must train much more than a man to reach same strength levels. She's a High Elf, which definitely means that she's weaker, she's likely to be older than Uther when he changed his mind (she survived the Scourge invasion after all), and she had to respec entirely.--K ) (talk) 13:00, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

No where in Warcraft lore suggests Humans are physically stronger than Elves. --Invin Dranoel (talk) 14:31, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

True but do you need lore to know that Taurens and Orcs are physically stronger than gnomes?Although many elves were Warriors during the third war (Swordsman) they ARE physically weaker than humans.

Name[]

My theory? She's named after Liandrin, an Aes Sedai in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. (Spoiler An evil, Black Ajah Aes Sedai. /Spoiler) The names are awfully close and it wouldn't be the first WoT reference in WoW. RobertM525 04:17, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

I must admit, I think of Liandrin every time I read about Liadrin. I can't decide if it's complete coincidence or not. They're both blonde evil spellcasters, but the similarities really end there. ---- Varghedin Varghedin  talk / contribs 07:12, 5 May 2007 (EDT)
(Actually, Liadrin is a brunette. :) RobertM525 23:35, 5 May 2007 (EDT) )
I think she is red-haired Vaca166 20:13 6 June 2009
Blizzard does do this with names. Note who Arthas and Uther and named after- however the only similarity Arthas shares with Arthur is a powerful sword. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 09:59, 5 May 2007 (EDT)
A powerful sword he has personally taken out of the stone/ice, the fact that he became King right after (Britain/Lordaeron & the Scourge). Uther has also been a fatherly figure to Arthas, though Pendragon was already dead at the time Arthur picked up the sword.--K ) (talk) 12:07, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
So, will we make notion of the name similarity? --Pimmeh 12:45, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Burning Legion?[]

Is it possible that Lady Liadrin is somehow in league with the Legion? Think about it. Kael'thas sends M'uru to Silvermoon, the Blood Knights are eventually formed. Then in Outland, Kael has Blood Knights under his command. Is it possible that Liadrin is helping Kael? Or is my theory seriously flawed? --user:Zentyr

Having blood knights server Kael doesn't mean she sent them , they may be traitors that joined Kael , or another theory:Kael took some of that naaru's energy to make his own(Marakanis 02:15, 22 December 2007 (UTC))

It is clearly confirmed in 2.4 she is not with the legion as she joined the shattered sun.--Gurluas 18:06, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Felbloods[]

Are felbloods Fel elfs or just an insult for something?--SWM2448 19:59, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Probably Fel Elves, yes. Zentyr 21:16, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

2.4 effects[]

I wonder what the events of patch 2.4 will do to her Pally quests. Meneldir 02:10, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

So far its been found out the level 12 Blood Knight quest was changed with you draining the Magisters that were draining M'uru instead. More than likely the mount quest at 60 changed also but till someone transfers over a blood elf paladin that hasn't done the quest yet who knows how. Butso far I am really enjoying how Blizzard has advanced the story. Leviathon 02:57, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure if they will change the Charger / Tabard quest, as the ghost paladins that Blood Knights kill for that quest are said to have "fallen from grace", and to nearly have been turned into death knights. They might change the quest a little bit so that you are "redeeming" their souls, or giving them proper rest, or something, I guess. It's still the Order of Blood Knights, so don't expect *too* many changes. Suzaku 00:26, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Moved to Shattrath Permanently, Or...[]

I just read that Liadrin will appear in Shattrath to speak to A'dal. Will she be there permanently, or is there a possibility that she will appear on Quel'Danas? It's obvious that after this patch, she will no longer be in Silvermoon (as some shmo is there in her place). --Joshmaul 02:37, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

As far as I understand, she and Velen make a camo appearance after M'uru's demise in Sunwell Plateau. Elireyn 13:09, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Patch 3.0.2 made her permanent. She is now guarding the Portal to Silvermoon City from Shattrath, together with 2 other Blood Knight Honor Guards. Laibeus Lord (talk) 12:00, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Tactics and older Silvermoon information[]

It appears that Lady Liadrin has joined the Shattered Sun Offensive, which both Horde and Alliance are friendly to, and has moved out of Silvermoon City to an undisclosed location once she finishes her speech. I think that means that her combat information, as well as her Silvermoon information, is obsolete. Should she be revoked as a quest giver, city boss, and Silvermoon NPC and have her combat information shifted to a "removed from game" section? WoWWiki-Presea (talk) 20:48, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Speaking as the author of the combat information; that only makes sense. Might a suggest a 'Pre 2.4' section? I'm not sure what the proper format would be, but it may not be removed from the game. It's simply gone for now... who knows, she could change her mind again? --Curtwulf (talk) 20:58, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

I think it's the case to split the article in "Lady Liadrin (Silvermoon)" and "Lady Liadrin (Sunshattered)" thus create a disambiguation page "Lady Liadrin" --N'Nanz (talk) 08:36, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Why not just have the combat information section tagged with {{removedfromgame}}, as it's always been with such things? I see little reason as to separate the pages. g0urra[T҂C] 16:55, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
I concur. She's the same character, the same lore, and the same NPC, just moved and with a different purpose. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 16:57, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

wowhead has two different character Lady Liadrin and Lady Liadrin (Sunshatter) --N'Nanz (talk) 16:59, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, because the latter one is the character with the Shattered Sun Offensive tabard after she pledge to A'dal–that's the only change. g0urra[T҂C] 17:03, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes. I don't know how it's used to be done. I split in order to give informations a more separate appearence. The old article has informations without a clear timing... --N'Nanz (talk) 17:08, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

She's the same character with the same NPC #ID and with the same history, so there's no need to keep content separate. That's like splitting Thrall into two versions: one in Orgrimmar, and one where he travels to Nagrand. Heck, why not make another two for one in Mount Hyjal and one in Old Hillsbrad Foothills. g0urra[T҂C] 17:15, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Lady Liadrin (Sunshatter)[]

Is Sunshatter her title or just a way to tell the difference between the "old" her and the "new" her? In the page, I don't see the word Sunshatter mentioned.  Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 10:17, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

See above, this article is the character biography. --Ragestorm (talk · contr) 13:45, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Is this Lady Liadin[]

BloodKnightSots

Is this Lady Liadrin? because while I think its Liadrin I have no proof.--TheUltimate (talk) 20:57, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Former Priestess of the Light[]

Since she is a "former elven priestess," should the Church of the Light be listed as a former affiliation, or was she not affiliated with the Church as a high elf? I'm not sure if there is any lore stating an affiliation. Strength and Honour Horderoyale (talk) 19:10, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Neutral?[]

Is there any reason she's been hit with the neutral tag? Last I checked, she is still the undisputed leader of the Silvermoon Blood Knights, and still in operation around Horde-affiliated Quel'thalas, long after the Shattered Sun Offensive had lost meaning. She doesn't even deal with High Elf pilgrims in the Sunwell, her entire entourage are Blood Elves. She's not really any more neutral than Velen is. All hail the Sin'dorei. (talk) 19:22, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

If there's any opposition to this, feel free to contest it with whatever evidence, but I don't appreciate this "Moonrunner" undoing every edit simply because you don't like it. All hail the Sin'dorei. (talk)

Quel'delar[]

In warlords of draenor Lady Liadrin has Quel'delar http://i.imgur.com/ZcmeuDe.png (talk)

House Sunstrider[]

What does that mean? She isnt / wasn't part of the royal family.--Mordecay (talk) 19:18, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

She worked for them.--SWM2448 20:11, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Theron did too. But now I see it's based on her conversation with A'dal.--Mordecay (talk) 21:16, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Eye color[]

She has golden eyes in heartstone--kayruz31 (talk) 20:50, 06 april 2016

Her art from hearthstone in general looks a little weird to me. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 01:32, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Isn't her armor different too? -Dusksworn (talk) 03:31, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

The Histories of Liadrin[]

I've wondered if Liadrin's claims about Tyrande and the night elves were intentionally meant to be biased and faulty because it's her own POV, or if the dialogue was written by a new dev that didn't really know the lore. After the Garona and Nathanos discussion has been leaked, I'm thinking it's the latter. Everything Liadrin said was a lie. She claimed blood elves are scorned by Tyrande, but Tyrande actually told Kael'thas that she grieves for his people and encouraged him to lead them to a brighter future (ironically she hoped the same for the nightborne). Liadrin claims Tyrande and her people "slept in dens or hid in trees", when Tyrande had actually formed and led the Sentinels that patrolled her home fighting various threats for 10,000 years. And then there's Liadrin's bizarre claim that her people were saving the world in the meantime, yet from the War of the Ancients to the Third War, there was no world threatening conflict that her people took part in, while the night elves were fighting the War of the Satyr and the War of the Shifting Sands. The closest thing could be the Second War, which Quel'Thalas didn't even want to take part in until it had no choice. Should all of this be pointed out in either the Legion or Notes & trivia sections? Maybe it should be said in the Tyrande and Thalyssra articles too? I'd like the give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt that this is supposed to be a biased interpretation, but no "other side" was ever shown and the articles currently contain false/contradictory information. Would like to hear some other thoughts on this. --ShadowShade81413 (talk) 18:09, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

IMO, the Blizzard writers have reached a point where they must resort to bad storylines in order to keep justifying most storylines :/ I mean, Garona was never, ever shown as being close with the Horde, but they had to explain her presence in Battle for Azeroth, so they wrote the first crap that came to their mind... probably the same thing for the Nightborne. Xporc (talk) 18:43, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
Garona worked with the Horde in Twilight Highlands to end the Hammer. So maybe the feelings started there? :P --Mordecay (talk) 18:48, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
Ugh, I truly hope they change some things they're doing. Especially with the Horde, its characters and its direction. --Ryon21 (talk) 19:45, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
