Meteorite Impact?[]
I want to see a citation on Un'Goro being the site of a meteorite impact. I see this theory everywhere but I've never seen any evidence for it. To me, it seems far more logical that Un'Goro is volcanic in origin. - Dark T Zeratul 17:32, 12 December 2006 (EST)
- Do some more study into impact craters the raisad circlar edges, with a a rased center are pretty typical of them. Where as volcanic caldera tend to become lakes --Roguebfl(talk) 00:12, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
In the third book of the WoTA or well of eternity I get them confused (its the cannon timetravel one) Tyranade saysto illidan as he takes water from the well "remember what happenedto the city of(i forget the name) when they delved too deep into the wells power"(assumeing here they tried too move it) and after illidan retorts about it being a myth she said "What of the giant crater blasted into trhe land thhat now is covered in reflourished life" THAT SOUNDS LIKE UN'GORO TO ME!!(note these quotes are parafrases)Scorpx3 22:45, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- I remember that too, and it might explain why the southern area is missing a pylon: nelfs experiment with water, study titan pylon, blow themselves and pylon up, qiraji move in now that the titan bugzapper is gone. Xlel 00:02, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- The problem with that theory is that it would require the crater to already be there, when Tyrande actually says that it was created by whatever catastrophe destroyed the city. Also chances are that it was indeed a myth, and Tyrande mistakenly used it as evidence. And Xlel, the qiraji would never move in to Un'goro. If you read "War of the Shifting Sands" the only reason they didn't destroy the night elves was because to do so would require venturing into the crater. If they wouldn't go there to destroy their mortal enemies, why would they for any other reason? Jormungand01 (talk)

Getting there section[]
I reverted a change in the "Getting There" section which broke apart the alliance and horde instructions. Both Alliance and Horde can get to Un'Goro from either Silithus or Tanaris, so it doesn't make sense to have them separate. --Jiyambi t || c 20:22, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- I feel like it's disingenuous to include Silithus in the "Getting There" section, since (absent a warlock portal) you can't get to Silithus except by going through Un'Goro. Any thoughts? --EDG (t c) 09:27, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Bowser?[]
Someone on Wowhead said they found a rock formation on the eastern side (noticeable if Slow-Falling into the zone from Tanaris) that looks like Bowser (main villain from the Super Mario series). The Pylons of Un'goro and Sholazar[]
The five pylons in Sholazar hold back the Scourge and when one of them is destroyed, Scourge breaches through and takes over the area where the pylon was. In Un'goro there are pylons in west, north and east but not in south. Night elf story tells how the Qiraji army couldn't enter Un'goro during the war of the Shifting Sands but there's a Qiraji hive in southern Un'goro where there's no pylon so does it require official confirmation or can it be assumed that the purpose and function of the pylons is identical? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Eraphion (talk · contr).

Un'Goro in Hearthstone[]
Will be interesting to see what new stuff Hearthstone brings to Un'goro.
Saw a card representing a dinosaur of the diplodocid species, so there's possibly more dinosaurs species in WoW than we see in-game. Which, isn't too surprising but eh. Always fun with new stuff, even if it might not be 100% canon. WarGodZajru (talk) 11:16, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- Think there might be a bit more of that, yeah. The new stuff about the dinosaurs looks cool, giving them a primal, elemental feel through adaptation. Cool, but unsure if that'll really be portrayed as canon though, considering how different it is. WarGodZajru (talk) 11:16, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

Using Blackrock Mountain as precedent (as well as many races and characters across the site) shouldn't the infobox be the Hearthstone art? ReignTG (talk) 22:01, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
