I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wowpedian! Please remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) as this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, or need help, just ask on the relevant talk page, or visit the site forums. Again, welcome!   --Coobra (talk) 06:11, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I hope I can be of assistance in the Cataclysm stuff, please let me know if I'm being disruptive, as I mean well. --Bellocois (talk) 06:12, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Unless you blatantly destroy a page, I don't think you can be a disruptive editor =). SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 06:35, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Loremaster of Kalimdor[]

Great job so far. Formatting looks fine. As to RC, surprisingly enough admins don't seem to be on IRC right now, or if they are, they're AFK. Ressy (talk) 18:16, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

I blame kd3, who had enough time to suggest the faction disambiguation template but not enough time to mention an achievement template. :-) No, I was mainly kidding when I said that on the talk page. Thanks for dropping me a note. --Bellocois (talk) 18:22, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Quest:The Emerald Dream[]

In this case, a redirect does hurt. There is a new quest under this name in Darkshore — see Darkshore storyline — and I asked to delete the old article specifically for this reason. - LucidFox (talk) 10:15, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

My apologies, I must have misread what he was doing when he deleted it. I'll leave well enough alone next time. --Bellocois (talk) 10:16, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Patch notes[]

Just so you know, mostly everything involving cataclysm has been added in 4.0.3a, not 4.0.3. Thank you and keep up the good work. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 01:23, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Cataclysm stubs[]

{{Stub/Cataclysm}} should no longer be used since patch 4.0.3a (and all its Cataclysm content) is now live. Please refrain from using the template, and use one of the other stubs instead.--g0urra[T҂C] 15:39, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

NPC articles/images[]

Just wanted to tell you, you're doing a very good job are creating these articles. Thank you and keep up the excellent work. Smiley SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 22:02, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! I wish I'd thought to add the Bilgewater Cartel category so you didn't have to do it. I guess we all have our roles though, and yours is to tidy up after people like me. ;-) --Bellocois (talk) 22:37, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Actually, on second thought, the reason I didn't add that was because I thought the city parameter would have done it automatically. Maybe it needs to be updated? --Bellocois (talk) 22:39, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
We could have done it automatically, except for often times that parameter is used to mark factions the person is with (but does not have a category, or another npcs to allow for a category) and the template is used for fanfic articles as well, so then we'd have all kinds of categories being placed on articles/fan articles. Wowpedia[]

I was never really very active on Wowpedia before the fork, as you can see by my contributions here, and I honestly have no reason to go back there now. Let it stagnate for all I care. I don't consider Wikia to be the end-all, be-all of anything; there's Elder Scrolls wikis on Wikia but the real ES Wiki is at uesp.net; so there's no reason why I need to pretend that Wowpedia is still the real Warcraft wiki. On the flip side, it does have the definitive Fallout wiki, The Vault, and that's the first wiki where I was an active contributor. So I'm not "done with Wikia" but I am "done with Wowpedia." Deadlykris (talk) 21:42, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

I can't really say for any wiki aside from The Vault, but the primary reason they didn't move was due to the founder of that wiki, Ausir, being Wikia staff. The Wiki started on nma-fallout.com (No Mutants Allowed) and later moved to Wikia when NMA couldn't handle the load. Or something. Not sure at what point Ausir became Wikia staff though. How do you add NPCs so quickly?[]

Hey, I was looking at the new pages and see that you sometimes can add 2-3-4 NPCs in the same minute. How do you do that? Yithnal (talk) 02:36, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

It's a little embarrassing to admit, but I use Notepad. Yes, standard Windows Notepad, not even Notepad++. I copy the source from one NPC, go to Edit and select "Replace..." so I can change the first and last name, go to the Wowhead page associated with the next NPC and change the relevant fields by hand. While I'm on the Wowhead page, I sometimes even steal the screenshot if it's superior to my own due to my graphics card issues. The reason it shows up so fast is that I have two Notepad windows open, one with the current NPC and the other with those I've already done, separated by 5 lines or so. If someone reading this has a better idea, feel free to speak up and make me look and feel silly. --Bellocois (talk) 06:56, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
naw, that's not embarrassing... that's "the right way" if you ask me! I think my problem may be that I take numbers and stuff from my screenshots and type them in instead of copy and pasting them... which is kinda dumb now that I think about it. ;) Thanks for the tips. Yithnal (talk) 06:06, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
I'm glad I could help. The reason I said it's embarrassing is that the entire process of creating a facsimile of something that was automatically generated is kind of silly. The pages on Vendor 594 and Guard TK-421 will get 13 views in the time it takes something like Vanessa VanCleef or a good guide - or the Frankenstein's monster of Horde bias - to rack up 13000. If I had any common sense I'd probably focus on stuff like that. --Bellocois (talk) 09:10, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Fangferror lookalike[]
