Curious

Hi, glad to have you here. Someone had created a questionable forum post here recently asking us to "let them know" about this new site and named you as one of the people. I'm curious now - did you not know? Not that it matters now of course. --Bellocois (talk) 00:31, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

I know now, I found a post yesterday saying people were moving to wowpedia. --Servian (talk) 00:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Alright, I only asked because I've been working under the assumption that people still contributing there just don't know, but I've also been wondering if Wikia's claims about an alternate community had some truth to them. It seems to be a disingenuous attempt to justify misleading people. --Bellocois (talk) 01:00, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Former human models

There are no "former human models", if a human NPC has a new look then simply upload the new look over the old image. --g0urra[T҂C] 01:11, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about that I noticed there was some for goblin so I figured there probably should be one for humans. Also can you rename the File:Achievement_Festergutrotface.png so the f isn't capitalized. I forgot to make it lower case. --Servian (talk) 01:30, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Images

Be honest... are you simply placing the model images on a screenshot you took (that had nothing there originally), cause it looks like it? Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 06:06, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm not using a model viewer if that is what your asking. The ones with the transparent background are from screenshots. Servian (talk) 12:31, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Ok then... cause it just seems weird that you would edit out the background to begin with... so when they NPC was in the exact same pose as the in-game screenshot that was uploaded afterword you could see my concern. Thank you for letting me know. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 22:24, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
I thought it looked better without the background that why I did it. But nobody else seems to think so. Servian (talk) 23:27, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

If you replaces images with a new one such as you did on Elder Ezra Wheathoof, please remember to mark the old image with the {{speedydelete}} tag, so it can be deleted. Thank you, Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 23:28, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Use of Quest:

Note that once someone creates the pages for the quests, the links will be formatted with the correct information. Theres really no need anymore for {{questlong}} now that we have [[Quest: ]]. Ressy (talk) 19:35, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

But with questlong you can add the faction symbols and levels next to it. It also adds the wowhead link next to it if it has not been added yet. Servian (talk) 19:42, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Once the pages are created, it'll add symbols & levels to the links automagically. The wowhead links aren't really that important to be honest.
We're trying to get away from using {{questlong}}, {{achievement}}, {{achievementlong}}, {{item}}, {{loot}}, etc etc by changing the formatting via CSS/JS because they're expensive parser calls, and breaks the links if there are too many on a single page. Ressy (talk) 19:53, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

New NPCs

Please note that so far every NPC page you have created was added in 4.0.3a, not 4.0.1. I have been correcting them, but please use the correct patch in the future. You can't always go by what wowhead says. Thank you and keep up the good work. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 03:20, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

For most of them I have, Wowhead says Arugi was added in patch 4.0.1. Servian (talk) 01:03, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
We don't go by what Wowhead says; we go by when that character actually appeared in the game. And there were very few new NPCs that appeared in 4.0.1. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 01:22, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
