Warmaul Hill

Warmaul Hill

Warmaul Hill is a large mountaintop in northwestern Nagrand.[27, 21]VZ-NagrandBlip It is populated by a tribe of fierce ogres led by Cho'war the Pillager.

History[]

The ogres of Nagrand were formerly ruled by gronn, who ruled from a massive cavern in this mountaintop. However, a powerful ogre lord named Cho'war gathered a large group of ogres and rebelled against the gronn. They were, in the end, successful and drove the gronn out of the hill. Cho'war took leadership of the fractured ogre clans left behind by the gronns' overthrowing, and thus, the Warmaul were born. The only tribe not under the banner of Warmaul in Nagrand is the Boulderfist, who constantly fight the Warmaul over territory.

Denizens and Quests[]

Warmaul Hill is populated by numerous Warmaul Brutes and Warmaul Warlocks, the latter generally with imp minions. The quest War on the Warmaul requires you to dispatch 15 of each. A number of captive Mag'har orcs are held in individual cages scattered around the hill - their freedom is the objective of H [15-30] Finding the Survivors. Finally, H [15-30] Cho'war the Pillager requires you (and allies) to slay the big man himself.

Notes[]

Two elite Mountain Gronn patrol the path up to Warmaul Hill, occasionally pummeling ogres whose patrol paths enter their aggro radius. It is best to pull these separately from other mobs given their higher health (14,912) and greater damage. An amusing tactic if you are playing a class with the ability to leave combat, such as the rogue's Ability vanish [Vanish] or hunter's Ability rogue feigndeath [Feign Death], is to do a running pull of three or four nearby ogres, engage one of the mountain gronn and then leave combat, and watch as the gronn turns on and makes short work of the ogres. If you time it correctly, you can then reopen on the (probably heavily wounded) gronn just as it kills the final ogre and before it resets to full health.
