The Council of the Black Harvest is a council made up of six of the greatest warlocks that sought the powers of their defeated foes. These powers would then be shared with each other and their own sects[1] to further aid their kind against any future threats to Azeroth. The order was brought together by Kanrethad, after the fall of Deathwing.[2]

History

Nearly each member had witnessed one of the great threats to Azeroth:

After much bickering and debates it was decided that each warlock would be partnered with another and obtain new powers. Although each warlock in the council did not like each other, they knew what they would be doing would greatly benefit them all. To make sure greed did not set in with individual members, it was agreed that any warlock that broke the contract, failed to return, or returned alone would be struck down by the others and their soul would be banished forever.

All six returned to pass their knowledge on to all warlocks, and disappeared shortly after.[3]

Notes

The Council of the Black Harvest are involved with the warlock quest chain. The Warlock Adventurer is tasked by trainers in capital cities to hunt down Jubeka's Spell shadow soulgem [Soulstone] and find them in Outland. Wrathion begins later on to be concerned in their interest for his father's power.

Trivia

  • All of them had a quote in the warlock talents in Mists of Pandaria beta.
  • The group was known in the beta as the Council of Six Daggers.
