Norushen is a titanic watcher resembling a mogu. He watches over the remains of the Old God Y'Shaarj beneath the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. When the containment around the Heart of Y'Shaarj is breached, Norushen assists adventurers by generating buffs for them to use.
Following the Heart's capture by Garrosh Hellscream, the Sha of Pride was released in the Vale. Norushen challenged adventurers to conquer their corruption before bringing them to face the Sha within Y'Shaarj's old prison chamber. In the ensuing battle with the final Sha Prime, Norushen is slain by the creature, but uses the last of his strength to reduce the corruption of all present Adventurers.
Notes
The mogu are rumoured to have been created in Norushen's image,[1] although since Norushen is himself a creation of the Titans, this would only make him the prototype of the mogu design, rather than the actual source of that design. Whether or not Norushen predates the creation of the mogu by any significant period is also unknown.
